Thank you all!

Thank you everyone!
Thanks to the generosity of everyone that commissioned me, I have now repaired the damage that was done to my account, as well as get a ton of commissions!

I have already started working on a few of them, and will be mailing off the pencil sketches as soon as they're done for final inking and coloring.
I can't say if my queue has ever been this full...in fact, I know it hasn't. I'm going to ask everyone to work with me at the moment as I get used to this. I have to work my art and commissions in around my regular work schedule. I'm not going to make any promises as to when any picture or pictures will be done, but I can promise that they will.

Again, thank you all very, very much, and I look forward to working with each and every one of you! :)

Roo in distress

Hello all,

I'm breaking my long silence on LJ to say that I'm in a bit of a pickle at the moment...
because I got false information from my bank, and had to shell out a ton of money to pay overdraft fees, late fees, and daily fees associated with the aforementioned charges, I find myself struggling to make my rent payments.

To try and alleviate this situation, I'm coming on here to ask for help.
I'm willing to offer commissions in trade for any donations that you would be kind enough to send my way.
Those of you that know me know that I've been working on setting up my art business, trying hard to get some extra income...I think this is the best time to see if I can get some.

I'm offering commissions, full color, 1 or 2 character, grown up fur, babyfur, or other, on 8 1/2x11, 65 lb card stock to anyone willing to make a donation.
I'd like to set the price of these commissions for around 30-40 dollars (30 for single character, 40 for more than one) but any donation will be appreciated-if you can go higher than that, it will be greatly appreciated, and I'll see what I can do about throwing in something extra for you. If that's too much, well, I can also do conbadges for cheap if those happen to be in demand-they would be 3x4, full color as well.

My PayPal information is brendanroo@gmail.com

I would like to thank everyone in advance for any help they can offer...especially since I know it's right after AC and money is tight for a lot of people.

*Heavy sigh*

Okay...my day was....shall we say, interesting.

Someone tried to bring a 7" folding knife into the airport today. Now, if it was in his checked baggage, that would have been fine, but he decided he wanted it in his carry-on bag.
Do people actually thing airport screeners will miss these sorts of things? Well, they don't. Especially since a 7" knife on x-ray looks like it's 2 feet long. O.O
That person had the somewhat dubious honor of meeting several of Philadelphia International Airport's wonderful and couragous men in uniform and reperesentatives from the airlines, and the security people, his knife was taken away, he was most likely fined, and it's possible a criminal record is now in his name.

Is this sort of thing really worth it to people? honestly? *sighs*
*Rant concluded*

Anyway, in other news...
IT'S FRIDAY!!!!! :D
....for me anyway. I mean, by days off are Wednesday and Thursday, so I now have 2 days off before I head off to FC on Friday...so this is going to be a looong weekend for the roo ^^
I'm hoping to have a good time, but you never know. Odds are, I'm going to be pounced and forced to draw pictures the whole time and miss all the fun stuff I want to do...it's what happened at AC 04, so I'm kinda dreading FC 05....
I suppose if the pay is good, it won't matter in the long run though-a Boomer has to pay his rent, after all ^^

Well, I need to change out of my uniform (which I am told looks great on me, for anyone that might be interested) and slip into something more comfortable.
More later!

Well, Once more onto the breach...for the first time

Well...I was told to get a LJ, so I did...I hope you're all happy ;P

Now...where to start...um...right...about me.
For starters, I'm a 22 year old male that just recently moved to Philadelphia, PA, USA. I'm a furry, and see myself as a kangaroo-with an admittedly original and interesting fur pattern (I'll see what I can do about finding a pic that I think is good enough >.>;;; ). And, since I'm a male roo, in Aussie terms, that would make me a Boomer :)
I'm an artist, and draw a lot, when I get the chance, and have recently started using Prismacolor color pencils and I REALLY like how they come out.
I'm a college graduate, with a BFA in Theatre Arts from UNCW in North Carolina, on the performance side of the fence. Yes. That means I'm one of those acting pukes-take it or leave it! :)
I work with the government in Philadelphia...not a bad gig for someone just out of college, if you ask this little boomer's opinion *chuckles*

Well...I can't think of anything of anything else right now...more will come later if anything interesting happens-which I don't think will be often because I think I'm a boring roo... ;)
